- Navacerrada: en la Sierra de Guadarrama, a 1.200 metros de altura y a una hora de Madrid en coche o autobús, es otro atractivo que no puedes dejar pasar. Además de disfrutar de un entorno natural bellísimo y a menudo nevado en invierno, cada domingo se celebra en la Avenida Madrid un célebre mercadillo de antigëdades.
- Alcalá de Henares y El Escorial: Ambos lugares fueron declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Alcalá posee un rico patrimonio monumental que se concentra en su casco histórico fundamentalmente: iglesias, conventos y dependencias universitarias nos acercan a la vida castellana durante el Siglo de Oro español.
San Lorenzo del Escorial, por su parte, se ubica en la Sierra de Guadarrama. El Monte Abantos, su pinar y la dehesa de La Herrería componen un conjunto natural muy hermoso, con multitud de excursiones posibles por ese paisaje natural. También el casco urbano del municipio es hermoso y lleno de historia. Ambos lugares puedes llegar en transporte público desde Madrid.
Otro bello pueblo cercano a Madrid es Chinchón. Se distingue en la distancia por sus casas conservadas como hace siglos y asentadas en cerros. Destaca su característica Plaza Mayor, con sus balcones de madera y sus galerías adinteladas.
- Taberna Museo Etnográfico: Está ubicada en Robledillo de la Jara, pintoresco pueblo al norte de Madrid, y es un lugar interesante si viajas con niños. En el Museo se puede apreciar como los habitantes de Robledillo de la Jara, elaboraban hace más de un siglo aquellos productos que formaban parte habitual de su forma de vida: el pan, la miel, el vino o la matanza, y cómo iban unidos a acontecimientos cotidianos como las estaciones o las celebraciones tanto de origen religioso como pagano. Un autobús enlaza desde Madrid varios pueblos de la Sierra Norte, entre ellos Robledillo.
